Original woodblock engraving published on February 3rd. in 1855 in ‘The Illustrated London News’ above the caption, “New Westminster Bridge. – General View. – Thomas Page, Engineer.” The image includes the partially rebuilt Palace of Westminster, including ‘Big Ben,’ and sailing barges moored on the southbank of the River Thames being unloaded.
