Middlesex (here Midlesex) antique map from a first edition of William Camden's Britannia published 1695.  Original copper-plate engraved map of  Middlesex (here Midlesex and showing London prior to it being established as a county in 1889)) published in the first edition of William Camden’s “Britannia: or a chorographical description of Great Britain and Ireland.” Paper size approx. 17x15 inches (432x379mm) Usual centre fold. A beautiful later hand-coloured example of Morden's work. Some creasing bottom left but, for its age, a map in very good condition.
