HMS Thunderer a stern view of the Royal Navy ship at sea. Original antique print published April 20th 1872 in ‘The Illustrated London News.’ Launched from Pembroke Dockyard, Thunderer suffered two catastrophic accidents during her early years; a boiler explosion and an explosion in a forward gun turret. Both accidents caused a considerable loss of life among her crew. Very good condition, save for a very small repair (3mm) at top of the page which has been repaired. Paper size 15.75 x 10.5 inches. .
