Allington Castle Kent antique print with later added colour. The first castle on the site was an unauthorised fortification, built during The Anarchy of the early 12th century. Later hand-coloured copper-plate engraved print from ‘The Antiquities of England and Wales’ by Francis Grose, dated in the plate 1st. June 1784. Paper size approx.10.75 x 8 inches. A scarce item in excellent condition.
