Antique print of Bolsover Castle in Derbyshire, built in the early 17th century by the Cavendish family, on the site of a medieval castle founded in the 12th century by the Peverel family. Published by Francis Grose in ‘The Antiquities of England and Wales’ dated in the plate March 17th 1787. Size of engraved area approx. 5 x 6 inches. Paper size approx. 10.75 x 8 inches.  Shadows on the scan do not appear on the original print.
