Original antique map by Edward Weller, of the Australian State of Queensland, showing two state boundaries with New South Wales. The lower boundary “as settled by Act of Imperial Parliament 1850” and the “Present Boundary…adopted on the suggestion of Sir W. Denison, late Governor of New South Wales.” Published in the Weekly Dispatch Atlas, 1863, this must be one of the earliest maps of Queensland, which was declared a State only four years previously. Original hand-colouring. Paper size is approx. 19 x 13.5 inches. Clear of foxing but with folds (not creases) where newspaper was put through letter-box!
