Australia antique map from Barclay’s Dictionary. First published in 1774, passing through at least twenty-four reprints and editions by 1851, this original antique map is from the 1840 edition. The hatched borders of Lake Torrens are quite different from those discovered by later explorers. Paper size 10.75 x 8.25 inches. The colour was applied by hand at the time of publication.
