Stepney New Church St Philip Newark Street, c.1830. Erected 1818–21 and demolished in the 1880s. An antique Georgian steel engraving from ‘Metropolitan Improvements or London in the Nineteenth Century.’ Published in London by James Elmes, M.R.I.A. Illustrated with engravings by Thomas H. Shepherd. Prints usually dated in the plate between 1827 – 1830. (This item dated 1828.) Paper size approx. 6×8 inches. Print provided mounted to 10×8 inches using antique white, conservation mount-board. A nice ready-to-frame antique gift.
