Sir Walter Raleigh (c1554 – 29 October 1618), also spelt Ralegh, was an English landed gentleman, writer, poet, soldier, politician, courtier, spy and explorer. Beheaded in 1618 for allegedly plotting against King James I. Antique print published 1879. Paper size 10.5 x 8 inches. Engraved area 7 x 4 inches. Some minor foxing not affecting printed area.
