The image was produced by  Joseph Pennell (July 4, 1857 – April 23, 1926) an American draftsman, etcher, lithographer, and illustrator. He taught at the Slade School of Art and won gold medals at both the 1900 Paris Exposition and the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition.
