Big Ben recast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry antique print 1858.  'Big Ben,' the largest of the bells in the Clock Tower of the Palace of Westminster, weighing 13.76 tonnes, was recast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in east London. Recorded as the oldest manufacturing establishment in Great Britain, the foundry also lays claim to having cast the 'Liberty Bell' in the United States.
